Frequently asked questions

Are classes suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. Our beginner pathways start with gentle handbuilding. You’ll learn fundamentals slowly—pinch, coil, slab—before moving to the wheel.

Do you provide materials and tools?

Most in-studio courses include clay, basic tools, and firing for specified pieces. Online courses provide a detailed kit list and supplier recommendations.

What should I wear to class?

Wear comfortable clothing you don’t mind getting clay on, and closed-toe shoes. Long hair should be tied back for wheel sessions.

How do refunds and rescheduling work?

Full refunds are available up to 7 days before the first session. Within 7 days we offer studio credit. If you miss a session, contact us for make-up options when available.

Is the studio accessible?

Our main studio has step-free access and adjustable-height tables. Let us know your needs so we can prepare accommodations.

How many pieces can I fire?

Each course includes firing for a set number of pieces suited to the curriculum. Extra firing is available for a small fee by arrangement.

Do you offer private group sessions?

Yes, we host private events and small-group coaching. Email [email protected] with dates, group size, and goals.

Is clay messy?

Clay is friendly but can be dusty when dry. We emphasize damp cleanup, sponging surfaces, and simple routines that keep air clean and hands happy.
